BREAKING: Michael Vick Signs NEW Deal w/ Nike

My little-beacon-of-hope, Michael Vick, lost his first endorsement deal with Nike after he was charged and later convicted of dogfighting charges. Fresh out of his first week in the NFL, Vick and Nike reunite.

Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal is reporting that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has signed an endorsement deal with Nike.

Mike Principe, managing director for BEST, the agency that represents Vick, said Wednesday the deal had been reached but would reveal no other details. He referred other questions to Vick’s personal agent, Joel Segal.

"Mike has had a great relationship with Nike and is excited to be part of the Nike team again," said Segal, who negotiated the Nike deal as well as Vick's deal to return to the NFL as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Segal wouldn't reveal any details of the deal, saying that Nike and Vick agreed not to discuss terms.

Vick will wear Nike shoes, gear and apparel. "He has always been a fan of the brand and looks forward to the relationship," Segal said. [Source]

Nike ran faster than Vick against Florida State when those dogfighting charges were filed. I wonder how Nike will use Vick in their products, especially since he isn't a starter. Curious about this.
